🌴🫘 Dates & Beans Sauce (9+ months)
Ingredients:

2 tablespoons soft-cooked black-eyed peas or cowpeas (no skins)

1–2 teaspoons Dr. Annie Dates Powder (or mashed soaked dates)

1 teaspoon finely chopped onion (optional)
-
A drop of vegetable oil or unsalted butter (optional)

A little water or baby broth to adjust consistency

Cook the Beans:

Boil beans until very soft and skins are removed.

Mash or blend to a smooth paste.

Sweeten Naturally:

Stir in dates powder or mashed soaked dates.

Mix until well combined. Add water or broth for desired texture.

Optional Flavor Boost:

Lightly sauté onions in a drop of oil (if baby is ready for it).

Add to the bean and date mixture and simmer for 1–2 minutes.

Cool & Serve:

Allow sauce to cool slightly.

Serve warm alone, or as a topping for soft rice, mashed yam, or baby kenkey.
