🌾🌴 Hausa Koko with Dates (7+ months)

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Dr. Annie Hausa Koko Powder

  • ½–1 cup water or breastmilk (adjust for desired thickness)

  • 1–2 teaspoons Dr. Annie Dates Powder or puréed soaked dates

  • A splash of coconut milk (optional for creaminess)


👩🍳 Instructions:

  1. Mix Koko Base:

    • In a small bowl, dissolve Hausa koko powder in a little cold water to form a smooth paste.

  2. Cook the Porridge:

    • Bring water to a gentle boil.

    • Slowly add koko paste while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

    • Cook on low heat for 3–5 minutes until thick and smooth.

  3. Sweeten Naturally:

    • Stir in date powder or puréed soaked dates.

    • Optional: Add a spoon of coconut milk for extra creaminess.

  4. Cool and Serve:

    • Let it cool slightly and serve warm in a baby bowl.
