πΎπ₯ Millet & Oats Porridge (8 Months+)
Ingredients

2 tbsp millet (washed, soaked 2β3 hrs if possible for easier cooking)

2 tbsp oats (quick or rolled oats)

1 small carrot (peeled, grated or finely diced)

1 cup water / low-sodium vegetable stock / breastmilk or formula (to adjust thickness)

1 tsp olive oil or unsalted butter (optional, for extra calories)
Instructions

Cook millet
-
Place millet in a small saucepan with Β½ cup water.

Cook on low for 15β20 minutes until soft.

Add carrot & oats
-
Stir in carrot and oats. Add more water (or milk/stock) as needed.

Simmer another 7β10 minutes until oats are soft and mixture thickens.

Mash or blend
-
For 8β9 months β blend or mash into a smooth creamy porridge.

For 10β12 months β leave thicker with soft lumps for chewing practice.

Finish
-
Stir in olive oil or butter before serving (optional).

Can also be sweetened naturally with a little mashed banana or date puree if desired.
