🌾🥑 Oats & Avocado Porridge (7 Months +)

Ingredients (1–2 baby portions)

  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats (or baby oats for smoother texture)

  • ½ small ripe avocado, peeled and mashed

  • ¾ cup water (or use breastmilk/formula — add after cooking)

  • Optional: a pinch of cinnamon for gentle flavor (only if baby is used to it)


Preparation Steps

1. Cook the Oats

  • Add oats and water to a small pot.

  • Simmer over low heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring until soft and creamy.

2. Mash the Avocado

  • While oats are cooking, mash avocado in a bowl until smooth.

3. Combine

  • Stir mashed avocado into the warm oats until well mixed.

  • If using breastmilk or formula, add after the porridge has cooled slightly.

4. Serve Warm

  • Ensure it’s at a safe feeding temperature before serving.


Storage

  • Best served fresh.

  • Can be refrigerated for up to 12 hours; stir and reheat gently before serving.
