๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ— Plantain & Chicken Finger Food (8 Months+)

Ingredients

  • ยฝ ripe plantain (not too soft, medium ripeness works best)

  • 50g boneless chicken breast (skinless, cooked & shredded or minced)

  • 1 small carrot (peeled, grated โ€” optional)

  • 1 tbsp oats flour / wheat flour / millet flour (binder)

  • 1 tsp olive oil or unsalted butter


Instructions

  1. Cook plantain

    • Peel and cut plantain into chunks.

    • Steam or boil until soft, then mash into a smooth paste.

  2. Prepare chicken

    • Cook chicken breast (boil or steam), shred or mince finely.

  3. Mix ingredients

    • In a bowl, combine mashed plantain, chicken, and grated carrot.

    • Add oats/wheat flour to bind. Mix into a soft dough-like texture.

  4. Shape & cook

    • Shape into small finger-sized sticks or patties.

    • Pan-fry lightly in olive oil (or bake at 180ยฐC for 15 minutes) until firm but still soft inside.

  5. Cool & serve

    • Allow to cool slightly before serving to baby as finger food.
