🍗🌾 Chicken & Millet Purée (8 Months+)

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp millet (washed & soaked for 2–3 hrs if possible)

  • 50g boneless chicken breast (skinless, finely chopped)

  • 1 small carrot (peeled, diced)

  • ½ small onion (optional, very finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp olive oil or unsalted butter

  • 1 cup water / low-sodium chicken stock / breastmilk formula (to adjust consistency)


Instructions

  1. Cook millet

    • Add millet to a small saucepan with ½ cup water. Cook on low until soft (about 20 minutes).

  2. Cook chicken & veggies

    • In another pot, heat oil. Add chicken (and onion if using) and sautĂ© until no longer pink.

    • Add carrot and a little water; simmer until soft.

  3. Combine & blend

    • Mix millet, chicken, and carrot together.

    • Blend into a smooth purĂ©e for 8–9 months.

    • At 10–12 months, mash lightly for a thicker texture with soft lumps.

  4. Serve warm

    • Adjust thickness with breastmilk, formula, or stock.
