🍗🥣 Chicken & Hausa Koko Soft Jollof (9+ Months)

A gentle twist on classic jollof with a smooth Hausa koko base — comforting, protein-rich, and mildly spiced for tiny tummies.


📝 Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Hausa Koko (pre-cooked into smooth porridge)

  • 2 tbsp cooked soft rice (or mashed millet)

  • 1–2 tbsp shredded cooked chicken (boneless, skinless)

  • 1 tbsp grated or blended tomato

  • 1 tsp finely chopped onion

  • 1/4 tsp baby-safe tomato paste (optional)

  • 1/4 tsp oil (vegetable or palm)

  • 2 tbsp water or low-sodium chicken broth


🔪 Instructions:

  1. In a small pan, heat oil and sauté onion and tomato for 2–3 mins.

  2. Add shredded chicken, stir, then pour in water or broth. Simmer briefly.

  3. Stir in the cooked Hausa Koko and rice. Mix well.

  4. Simmer for 2 more minutes until slightly thick. Mash for smoother texture.

  5. Let cool before serving warm.
