🍘🍅 Soft Fufu with Tomato Sauce (10m+)

Ingredients:

For the Tomato Sauce:

  • 1/2 medium tomato (blended or finely chopped)

  • 1 teaspoon onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 tablespoon mashed boneless fish or chicken

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable or palm oil

  • A little water (for thinning the sauce)

For the Fufu:

  • 1/2 cup soft fufu (pounded yam, cassava, or plantain version – prepared very soft)


Instructions:

  1. Make the sauce
    In a small saucepan, heat oil and sauté onions until soft. Add tomato and cook for 5–7 minutes.

  2. Add protein
    Stir in mashed fish or chicken. Add a little water and simmer until smooth and baby-friendly.

  3. Prepare soft fufu
    Make sure fufu is smooth and soft (you can mix with warm water or broth to adjust texture if needed).

  4. Serve together
    Serve sauce in small portions over the fufu, or mash together into a soft paste for easy spoon-feeding.

  5. Cool & serve
    Ensure food is cooled to a safe feeding temperature.
