🍘🥚 Mashed Kenkey with Egg Sauce (8+ months)

Ingredients:

For Mashed Kenkey:

  • ½ ball soft white kenkey (preferably fermented for mild flavor)

  • 2–3 tbsp warm water or breast milk (to mash)

For Egg Sauce:

  • 1 small egg (hard-boiled or lightly scrambled)

  • 1 tsp finely chopped onions

  • 1 tsp tomato purée or freshly blended tomato

  • A drop of vegetable oil or unsalted butter

  • A pinch of baby-friendly seasoning (optional)


👩🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare Kenkey Base:

    • Remove wrapper from kenkey and mash it smoothly with warm water or breast milk to baby’s texture needs.

    • Set aside.

  2. Make Egg Sauce:

    • Sauté onions and tomato purée in a drop of oil or butter until soft.

    • Add in mashed or finely chopped boiled egg (or soft scrambled egg).

    • Stir until well blended into a soft sauce.

  3. Combine & Serve:

    • Mix the warm egg sauce with mashed kenkey.

    • Let it cool slightly and serve warm.
