🍠🌿 Sweet Potato & Spinach Mash (7 Months +)

Ingredients (1–2 baby portions)

  • ½ cup sweet potato, peeled and diced

  • ½ cup fresh spinach leaves, washed well (or baby spinach for milder flavor)

  • ¾ cup water or homemade vegetable stock (no salt)

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or unsalted butter


Preparation Steps

1. Cook the Sweet Potato

  • Add sweet potato and water/stock to a small pot.

  • Simmer for 8–10 minutes until very soft.

2. Add the Spinach

  • Add spinach leaves and cook for another 1–2 minutes until wilted.

3. Blend or Mash

  • For Stage 1: blend until smooth.

  • For Stage 2: mash with a fork, leaving small soft pieces.

4. Add Healthy Fats

  • Stir in olive oil or butter before serving for extra creaminess and nutrition.


Storage

  • Refrigerate for up to 24 hours.

  • Freeze in small portions for up to 1 month.
