🍠🐟 Cocoyam & Fish Purée (7 Months +)
Ingredients (1–2 baby portions)

½ cup cocoyam (peeled and diced)

2 tablespoons boneless white fish (such as tilapia, sole, or snapper)

1 small carrot, peeled and chopped (optional for extra sweetness & vitamin A)

¾ cup water or homemade fish/vegetable stock (no salt)

1 teaspoon olive oil or vegetable oil
Preparation Steps
1. Cook the Cocoyam & Carrot

Add cocoyam and carrot to a small saucepan with water/stock.

Simmer over medium heat for 8–10 minutes until soft.
2. Add the Fish

Add the fish pieces to the pot and continue cooking for 3–5 minutes until the fish is fully cooked and flakes easily.
3. Blend to Purée
-
Add oil, then blend the mixture until smooth and creamy.

For a slightly thicker texture, mash instead of blending.
4. Cool & Serve

Let cool to a safe temperature before feeding your baby.
Storage

Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.

Freeze in baby food cubes for up to 1 month; thaw and reheat before serving.
