Ingredients:

  • ½ cup boiled yam (peeled and mashed)

  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped spinach (lightly steamed)

  • 1 egg yolk (optional, for binding and protein)

  • 1 tablespoon Dr. Annie Fish Powder (optional, for iron and flavor)

  • A pinch of baby-friendly seasoning (e.g., garlic powder or nutmeg – optional)


👩🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients:

    • Boil yam until very soft and mash thoroughly.

    • Lightly steam spinach, then chop finely.

  2. Mix the Batter:

    • Combine mashed yam, chopped spinach, egg yolk (if using), and fish powder in a bowl.

    • Mix into a thick, moldable dough.

  3. Shape & Cook:

    • Form small sticks, patties, or nuggets suitable for baby’s grip.

    • Lightly pan-fry in a drop of oil or bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–15 minutes until firm and lightly golden.

  4. Cool & Serve:

    • Let finger foods cool before serving. Offer with mashed avocado, yogurt, or mild tomato dip.
