🍌🥚 Plantain & Egg Mash (7 Months +)
Ingredients (1–2 baby portions)

½ ripe plantain (yellow with a few black spots, for natural sweetness)

1 egg yolk (egg white can be introduced after 12 months or earlier if no allergy risk)

¾ cup water

1 teaspoon olive oil or unsalted butter
Preparation Steps
1. Cook the Plantain

Peel and slice the plantain.

Add to a small saucepan with water and simmer for 8–10 minutes until very soft.
2. Boil the Egg

In a separate pot, boil the egg for 8–10 minutes until hard-boiled.

Peel and separate the yolk from the white (discard white for now if avoiding).
3. Mash Together

Mash the plantain and egg yolk together until smooth.

Add olive oil or butter for extra creaminess.

For Stage 1 weaning, blend to a fine puree; for Stage 2, mash lightly to leave small soft pieces.
4. Serve Warm

Ensure it’s at a safe feeding temperature before serving.
Storage

Best served immediately.

Can be refrigerated for up to 12 hours; stir and reheat gently before serving.
