🥑🥩 Avocado & Beef Stew (Baby-Friendly)

Ingredients:

  • 100g lean beef (minced or finely chopped)

  • ½ medium ripe avocado (mashed)

  • 1 small potato (peeled, diced)

  • 1 carrot (peeled, diced)

  • 1 small tomato (peeled, deseeded, diced)

  • ½ small onion (optional, finely chopped for toddlers)

  • 1 tsp olive oil (or unsalted butter)

  • 1 cup low-sodium beef or vegetable stock (or water)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the base

    • Heat olive oil in a small saucepan. Add onion (if using) and lightly sauté until soft.

  2. Cook the beef

    • Add the minced beef and stir until browned.

  3. Add veggies

    • Mix in potatoes, carrots, and tomato. Stir well.

  4. Simmer

    • Pour in stock or water. Cover and cook on low heat for 25–30 minutes until beef and veggies are tender.

  5. Blend or mash

    • For younger babies (9–12 months), blend into a smooth puree.

    • For toddlers (12+ months), lightly mash or serve as soft chunky stew.

  6. Add avocado

    • Just before serving, mash the ripe avocado and stir it into the warm stew.
